Water Chiller

Water chillers are vital in moderating temperatures across commercial and industrial applications. Water chillers operate by taking heat from process fluids or the air inside a building and dispelling that heat back into the atmosphere. Water chillers provide a way to maintain a modulated or comfortably controlled environment.

Centrifugal chillers are the right water chillers for large operations (e.g., from industry plants to commercial buildings). Centrifugal chillers are well known for being highly efficient and filling a significant role for larger job sizes. Screw chillers, both air- and water-cooled, live in the industrial world but have the distinction of focusing on thermal-transfer applications in energy efficiency while managing environmental responsibility. Scroll chillers are often used to manage smaller locations (e.g., low-voltage air conditioning systems) in a range application that provides cooling and moisture removal.

Water chillers share one unique advantage over typical building HVAC systems, and that is their longevity partly because they are regularly located in the building and protected from the natural outdoor elements (i.e., rain, snow, or extended or low temperatures). The indoor nature of a water chiller limits wear and tear and the quieter operation is an added mark of convenience around potential noise constraints (i.e., hospitals, schools, and typical office spaces).

Water chillers are very environmentally friendly, truly “green,” because they use water, not a chemical; therefore, they are guaranteed to cool, and a business is guaranteed to lower its carbon footprint with the equipment use.
